Today, my American boy and I had the most wonderful loungy morning and afternoon at Lake Placid in upstate New York. But before I go on to tell you about our perfect weekend getaway, let me take you back to New York for a bit longer.

I love to take my time when I am in NY. I dont really shop a lot, just sniff around and absorb the energy of the place.

After I had visited my favorite bookstore, Strand, I walked to Union square for a petite lunch, however, as I was crossing the street a gem of a whimsical store caught my attention. It opened its doors 4 months ago and Barbara, the manager, invited me in to better get a look at the place.
