Organic poetry part II

These are just treasures I found on the way, that I just had to bring with me home.

No matter where I am, I like collecting stones, feathers, seashells, seeds, leaf and whatever may catch my attention as I walk by. Most of it gets lost on the way, but a few treasures makes it home, or to a photograph.

When American boy and I took our infamous petite trip across America this fall, he took me on a weekend trip to Long Islang outside New York. I will post about it soon. There we wandered the beaches, and in the soft fall sun white pebbles glittered and made it to my pockets.

As I flew to Norway, his car carried a few small plastic bags full of treasures back home with him.

Somehow, these treasures carry with them sweet memories, so its quite hard to part with them. Therefor I try to incorporate them in the interior decoration, like filling a glass vase with seashells, white pebbles in a big silver bowl with a cube candle, make a necklace or just a dried leaf in my favorite book.

And now, let me take you inside mon petite getaway cottage, and the village that holds it in it’s embrace.

My breakfast:

These hallways are the main streets of this petite village. All the houses are connected, and walking between them all is like getting lost in a medieval labyrinth.

An then back inside the labyrinth, I will take you from the 17century to back the 14th century.

Come along and be charmed.

I so hope you have enjoyed our little walk in the Ligurian mountains and stone village.

Have a wonderful day!

@ danica: The images are actually from Liguria, Italy. Right on the boarder to France. An absolutely stunning place that already shows sign of spring:) If you should want more detail about the place don’t hesitate to contact me.

you have a cottage in liguria? it looks fantastic – and it seems to have this reassuring feel to it because these buildings have been there for centuries…

@ beauty comma: Oh, I could not agree more, the history these walls carry in them. I adore walking in and out of the city walls feeling somewhat a part of the past. I have yet to find my permanent cottage in Liguria though, but one of these days:)
