A little Tuscan getaway…

Sometimes all a girl needs is to be whisked away to Tuscany for the weekend to recharge overworked batteries, to wake up to the smell of strawberry jam being made in the kitchen and to dip her toes in the Mediterranean sea…every now and then;)

Let’s hold off on the food post about Rome for just some more days, until I get back to my studio in Norway…

Last weekend a perfect gentleman came to the rescue and swept me off to Tuscany to my favorite little agritourism by Bolgheri.

I’ll show and tell you more about this place, but here is just a little summary of our perfectly sunny weekend that started with a sweaty run to catch the train in overheated Rome.

Rome is sporting sunny, blue sky and 35-40 degrees and I was so happy to board an air conditioned fast train from Termini in Rome to Florence in Tuscany this Saturday.

The train ran steady past the rolling hills in the outskirts of Rome before becoming green and delightfully peaceful in Tuscany.

It was heavenly and a bit magical…

Hy heart beat faster and my mind unwind ever so slightly…

We sat in the garden in the twilight, drove through olivegroves to Castagnetto for a late dinner with a view and dipped our toes in the gorgous blue sea that beaconed on the horizon as we woke up on Sunday by the Tuscan sun licking our faces through the window…

Like I said…it was heavenly and a big magical.

Delicious breakfast in the garden with fresh flowers sprinkled over my fruit does things to the heart it’s difficult to describe…good things;)

After some down time in our retreat, we went to Pisa, and Parma before ending the night with dinner in one of my favorite restaurants here in Milano, U Barba.

Then tomorrow I’m heading to my little Norwegain fjord island to continue working on some food projects, finnish a photo shoot on another beautiful Island, and hopefully share some exciting news with you…soon;)

PS: Swing by this cool blog for a little feature of my instagram photos. Thank you Zelda was a writer for your kind words;)

Wishing you all a lovely day!
