In every city I’ve lived in I’ve always seeked out green lungs to breathe in.
Rome has many a green spot, but my all-time favorite it the vast green area that used to belong to the important Roman family Doria-Pamphili. They still have a palazzo in amidst all the green that I’m drooling over every time I pass it.
When the sun sets and the air has cooled down I often go running here or just wander to clear my head after long days working and studying art.
It’s such a beautifully peaceful spot.
The park is also a host for a great little restaurant that I’m dying to check out one of these days.
The sound of the city is muted, the birds are creating the soundtrack and every now and then running water from the lakes or little streams color the evening with natures very own music.
This is where I find balance while in Rome…
Nature is indeed a needed ingredient for me, to hear my own heartbeat, thoughts and dream…
Lately I’ve been using my instagram and iphone photos here in the blog. This is not a permanent change rather a necessary change for a while, as my work days are filled to the brim, and most of the shots I take these days are for my book project.
But we’ll soon be back to delicious recipes and “real” photos here on the blog:)
Stay tuned for next up is a bit of the food scene here in Rome!
