The beautiful peace and quiet of Christmas is slowly setting in as the fireplaces are lit, the food feast is about to begin and holiday music is filling our home.
I’m so so happy to be able to spend this time with my family.
But before I head on over rot the piano to play some music, help my beloved mother in the kitchen and finish setting the table, I thought I’d swing by the blog to wish you all a lovely and warm Christmas wherever you are.
I hope as we sit down to eat tonight, or tomorrow, if you live in the states, we feel grateful for all we have.
There are always things we wish for, things we wished were different etc, but we also have so much to grateful for!
My beloved grandmother who’s 93 fell yesterday and hit her head and back severely. As we visited her in the hospital today, knowing she would be unable to attend the big celebration to night, she laughed and smiled at us and with tears in her eyes told us that she must surely be the luckiest woman in the world.
No words of the disappointment of missing out, juts gratitude for life, loved ones and for being so so grateful for all she had.
Now that is how I want to be at that age!
With a frizzy halo of white hair around my head, delicate wrinkled hands and a big smile on my face as I lay in a hospital bed in Christmas counting my blessings.
Thank you all for the lovely comments, emails and letters.
It warms my heart to hear from you, and I’m so glad you feel this blog is a little place of beauty and happiness.
From the bottom of my heart I wish you a lovely holiday season!

We should be grateful, shouldn’t we ? Thank you so much for reminding me and for your inspiring story ! Hope your grandmother heals well and fast. Best wishes for you all.
