Winter, horses and hot raspberry chocolate

Winter actually came and went within days, and I feel like I’m becoming a weather reporter with all this weather updates;)

But this is what it looked like last week when I went on my little beach wander.

Want to see more?

and then lets have a cup of hot raspberry chocolate with cream shall we?

I love how everyone is out in the cold white winter.

People are walking hand in hand enjoying the beautiful light.

Animals make smoke signals of happiness with their nostrils breathing out hot air, and kids from every kindergarden around spend the days outside from the wee hours of the morning till the parents pick them up in the afternoon.

I tend to wander a bit off the beaten path, there’s more quiet there, and I love places where I can hear the sound of the snow underneath my feet.

I love this spot where forest meets ocean.

It’s a perfect greeting point and I often spend time here just gazing out in the open.

From here the fjord opens up and melt with ocean.

Denmark is next if you swim on straight.

——-

I’ve been swamped these days with getting the little clothing collection ready for spring.

But every now and then there’s a sweet project that takes me down from the studio to the kitchen below and today it was all about chocolate.

A client wanted some lightly Christmas inspired chocolate photos with their products.

I can share with you some of the hot raspberry chocolate shots.

But before we go on,

thank you Vibeke,

from the beautiful blog A butterfly in my hair,

for your sweet write up of my Le voyage creatif jewelry!

Now, I trust you all know how to make delicious hot chocolate, so there really is not need for a recipe, but I’ll say this, skip the powder and use a real chocolate bar that you melt in the milk.

And use the good kind of chocolate, it makes all the difference.

Remember to stir to the bottom so the chocolate does not burn while the milk heats up.

Whip some cream with a dash of sugar, and there you have it.

For this food shoot I used raspberry chocolate and orange chocolate just to change it up, and it was mouthwateringly delicious,  just to let you know;)

And here’s a tip for you:

First off, when I say whipped cream I mean the real deal, there just aint no way around it.

In less than one minute you have the best kind without any dishes to do.

In a jar fill it half way up with whipping cream and some sugar.

Tighten the lid.

Shake away baby, and seriously in less than one min you have perfect cream for your hot chocolate.

Enjoy;)

These photos are simply stunning! Some of the best I’ve seen in a long time. The only time I’ve been to Norway was in the dead of winter and it was magical but where you live is truly a fantasy!
