I’ve been up since the wee morning hours today as jet-lag has kicked in.
There was light dew on the grass in the garden and the perfume from the lilacs and jasmine flowers blended ever so sweetly in this early morning hour.
I walked over from mon petite studio, passed the apple trees and lavender to the main house that was still asleep.
Since my parents have jsut taken off with my brother and his family to his property in the Dominican Republic I had the place all to myself.
With light barefoot feet I headed up to my beloved mothers small library and picked out 5 or 6 garden books and two ‘life in Provence’ lifestyle books.
My mothers handwriting popped up on nearly every page with petite illustrations and comments.
Oh, how I love her books!
The sun was beginning to reveal it’s face when I walked downstairs to the kitchen with my arms full of books to collect props for some photo-shoots I’m working on.I just adore searching through my beloved mothers vast collection of props gathered from the four corners of the world.
Vintage french ceramic bowls, greek pottery, small colorful vases, charming old bottles and rustic clay plates. I’m in heaven;)
While the first rays of sun illuminated the stone fireplace in the kitchen I made myself a cup of raspberry and blackberry-leaf tea from the garden, and started working on todays schedule.
I have s sweet little reveal in regards to my personal travel concierge service.
And if you happen to love cheese, and want to learn more about making it and have an interest in knowing more about herbs and how to use it in cooking and to help take the edge off that cold, then stay tuned as the next couple of days as I have some exciting news for you;)
Wishing you a lovely day!
