Yesterday came and went, before i could blink an eye!
So even though it’s Friday, I wanted to squeeze in the promised Creative Thursday.
I found some old VHS tapes of great movies that American boy had introduced me to, like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid.
Let me tell you the story…
When American boy and I first met, we spent a lot of time in his car;)
We would drive around like teen teenagers, sleeping in the back of the car in the most obscure places.
One of our favorite places was to park the car by a lake right where the places would land at the small local airport.
Sometimes we would open up the window in the roof and gace at the stars and the bellies of the airplanes as they cam in ofr landing.
We’d talk, listen to music and picnic in the car.
One of such nights, we parked further down on this lonely deserted road by the lake, snuggled up in blankets, and American boy put on the above movie, as it’s one of his favorites and a true American classic!
Not long into the movie and officer cam knocking with a flash light on our car window asking if we were of age….?
We giggled and said yes.
I blush as I type this…
Embarrassingly enough, this could be the tale of a couple in their teens, but oh ,no, we had both turned 30 at this point, and I think in most any country we would be considered of age;)
Anyway,
so when I came across a VHS tape of the movie for free, (what a bargin:) I took it and went home.
Smashed it.
Took out the actual tape.
And went to work.
Because let’s face it, it’s not a faze, VHS is not coming back.
In the spirit of repurpose and recycle, this is what has come of it thus far.
A crochet flower as a Christmas ornament with a bit of shine to it, and then I started on knitting wrapping paper which is just in it’s wee beginning in this photo.
And two different wrapping bands, one is crochet as well.

This is such a cute, stylish and clever idea to wrap gifts… I love it! xo
