When I moved to SF from Norway, packing was a tad challenging, as you want to bring your whole life!
So, I skimped on many things including camera gear.
I actually left all my lenses at mon petit guesthouse in Norway, and brought only my favorite, the 50mm.
American boy mentioned once that I should only carry that with me to force me to get up close with my photo subjects, so I took his advice.
I’m a tad shy, so I often pass the moments that I would have loved to capture as I’d rather not ask a stranger to stop for me.
But with this lense, I have to!
So as I walked down Sutter street in SF the other day, this young man passed me and I had to ask for a shot.
I love his peasant meets crusader style that oozes a cool masculine fashion that I like.
As he posed in the street I asked where, he was from;
“I’m Andre from Sweden.”
Of course you are…
And what do you do Andre?
“I work as a model.”
Of course you do.
With eyes and a smile like that, how could he not?
I travel half way across the world only to stop a Swede for a street fashion shot.
What do you think?
Great, non?
Unfortunately, I forgot to ask the name of his agency, so if you read this Andre, shoot me an email will you?
Happy Weekend!!

ok, so i’m a bit late in seeing this (seein as it’s monday here!). But isn’t it funny – i was just looking at 50mm lenses today… you might say it’s “meant to be” that i read this lovely post!
@ bec: Absolutely meant to be! I love the 50mm, although on a my canon rebel it crops and becomes a 80mm:(
